Eucalyptus Grid
Independent Installation
A layered steel mesh structure shaped as a subtle arch, forming a volumetric three-dimensional field. Between the metal layers, eucalyptus branches and bark are woven into the grid.
A focused projection casts a continuously moving butterfly across the surface. As the image meets the mesh and organic material, it fragments and reassembles, producing a light, shifting depth.
The work explores the tension between containment and flight, rigidity and fragility. The projected motion does not sit on the surface; it inhabits the layered structure, creating an airy spatial presence that oscillates between sculpture and image.
