7.10 Memorial Installation
Concept Proposal
A spatial memorial proposal developed in response to the events of October 7.
The project envisions an open field marked by vertical light columns, each carrying a sequence of portraits. Rather than concentrating memory into a single monument, the installation distributes presence across the landscape.
Light rises from below, forming vertical markers that connect ground and sky. The gesture suggests memory as both rooted and ascending — grounded in loss, yet extending beyond absence.
Visitors move between illuminated pillars, encountering individuals one by one. The experience is quiet and dispersed, allowing space for reflection rather than spectacle.
The installation proposes a memorial language built on multiplicity, verticality and proximity — each column standing alone, yet together forming a collective field of remembrance.
